3 web conferencing mistakes that will drive you crazy

Having trouble getting your web conference to work? Here are 3 web conferencing errors that could drive you crazy and how you can fix them so they don't interfere with your conference.

Use these effective tips to tackle 3 web conferencing challenges

1. Unable to launch the application

Usually clearing the Java (the software you have to download to run most web conferencing applications) cache should help resolve this.

Instructions for Windows: http://www.java.com/en/download/help/plugin_cache.xml

Instructions for Mac: http://www.java.com/en/download/help/mac_java_cache.xml

If this is not successful, try clearing your browser's cache too.

2. Unable to retrieve recording

In most cases the reason for this is that the meeting wasn’t actually recorded for some reason.  Please note that when a web conferencing session is deleted the recording is deleted too.

One thing that may be useful to troubleshoot would be to check the recording link. If the URL is missing certain characters, it may not have the complete link copied on to the email which may give you the above error.

3. Login error

This is the most common type of error. It's very annoying and the reason is very simple – you’ve got your login details (your username or password) wrong. Make sure you check the username and password to login to the web conferencing portal with ease.
